This will take the form of a lecture on Saturday 24 February and a workshop on Sunday 25 February…….

So its a it exciting….

So you wouldn’t want to miss this one….

Technology not my strong point

Its been such a long time since posting nearly 12 months, but after a series of computer issues and things not being easy to do…….you know that technology stuff …and more important time …..

So there are going to be no promises any more of regular posts……

So a lot of fabric has been purchased and classes have happened in the last 12 months.

I am coming up to my 12 th Birthday sale which still shocks me as it still doesn’t seem right that l have been trading for that length of time…….l still love it and cannot imagine doing anything else…..

My birthday Sale will start Monday 16 October to Saturday 21 October ……30 % off all fabric min cut 50 cm ( except liberty) and lots of other bargains….

No lay by or rainchecks..

During the Sale on Thursday 19 October and Friday 20 October the classroom will be set up with Christmas fabric  all reduced to $10.00 per metre  this of course does not include the new Stock but there will be some bargains there as well

Jodie Carleton will be holding a workshop on Saturday 21 October  for her pattern called Stable Mates.

Classes with Jodie are always fun so more details are on the class schedule on the website.

Bookings can be made direct to the shop ….

Okay then

Christmas at my shop

image image imageThis year with a bit of help from Danni ( a lot), l left the Ba Humbug behind and decorated a shop corner with my Christmas goodies.

Apart from the chimney, the main feature was my Christmas quilt from the pattern Confetti by Tied with a Ribbon.

My fabric stars were a throw back to my kids primary school days, most successsful for the display of fabric.

It has all been great fun watching customers reactions, thankyou for all of the comments, will have to put some great thought into next years display.

Happy Christmas.

Cheers Mary.

Back on blog track

On no it’s September and l think l have my blog stuff sorted only time will tell.

The year has flown my 11th birthday sale is looming so keep the dates in mind.

So my 11th birthday sale will be held Monday 17 October to Saturday 22 October.  2016

As the date gets closer l will let you know what bargains will be happening.

The shop continues to be busy which is fabulous so thank you to my customers.

Amy Butler fabric put to good use .. I think

After the success of the last 60 degree triangle quilt , l made a new one using a range from Amy Butler … And here is the result….

I have plenty of the fabric left and the triangle is also available

Another Zen Chic beauty

Another Zen Chic beauty that was whipped up and believe me it was whipped up.  Kerrie Thomas (Black Forest Quilting) did a great job on the quilting …

Tha pattern as have all been sold and l only have charm squares left in the fabric …..

Feb. February February oh no

My phone calendar had a reminder on it to write my blog at some stage during this month , so why not start on the first day of the month, cos it may not happen by the end of the month.

So l have just completed Octo by Zen Chic, a foundation pieced pattern using one of Brigettes collections called For You . It was fun to do my accuracy was a bit off at times but hey l still love it .

I have a few patterns available and plenty of pre cuts ……

so l managed to behave like a grown up and work out how to take photos on my iPad and put them on my website ….yep l know …..happy Australia Day ……….

December 1

Hard to write the date down today, as its really the countdown now till Christmas and there is so much to do…both at the shop and at home not to mention birthdays for family members.

I did get the Shop Christmas quilt up a month ago so l was proud of myself for that but realised there wasnt a photo of it.

The quilt is made of entirely scraps, including the linen background courtesy of a mistake in cutting that l made some time ago……..

Kerrie Thomas of Black Forest Quilting did a fabulous job as usual, with the quilting you may see the little Christmas trees quilted.

001jpgactually you wont see the Christmas trees becuse they are in the border.

There are other Christmas fabrics available at the shop and l have pictured just a small example.

002jpgLynette Andersons Christmas…

003jpgSparkly Christmas…..

004jpgand the fabulous Cotton and Steel Christmas….

Classes for the year will wind up next week, but l have been working on a variety of classes for next year.

I will be introducing a range of dressmaking based classes run on a Friday morning, the projects are being finalised at the moment but they look great and varied.

“Using your overlocker” is also coming  to a Friday morning….so watch the class schedule for dates.

Judy Newman and Irene Blanck will be having January 2016 classes dates are listed in the class schedule.  Bookings are essential.

My shop hours for the holiday period:

I will be closed Thursday 24 December 2015 and reopen Tuesday  5 January 2016.

To extend my break l will be reducing my shop opening hours for the first week only  10.00 am  – 4.00 pm

So thanks again.
