January 9 2025 – reopening

Morning,

Im putting this post together on my last day off from my break.

I feel super relaxed, currently lamenting the “things ” l didnt get done…. that will pass in 5 minutes.

But gee l got heaps done….

Our family Xmas lunch went really well, some years ago we purchased a “jumping castle with water slide” ( an Aldi special), and it is always set up for Xmas day…rain, hail or shine….

The grandies love it…rain , hail, or shine….so once again due to the heat they had a ball…..and we didnt have to mend any bridges…there was no blood.. lots of laughter and high jinx….  kids make Xmas so much fun and l marvel at watching my kids parent….

Grandchildren count  …l have 9….8 boys and 1 girl…………and as expected Mabel matches it with the boys.

I also found that there is a carpet rug in my sewing room…that has been missing for years….

I had 3 blissful days alone in my sewing room with only myself to look after……it was worth a year of time for me….

I reacquainted myself with a huge pile of my mending/alterations…

I had some quilts finishes as well, more on that later.

So ending the sentences starting with “l”,

We also had the usual spring clean at 320 Create……steam cleaning mattress’s, rugs, furniture, quilts washed and some replaced,

windows/gutters cleaned……a lots of outdoor preparation.

It is such a beautiful place and my mind is at complete peace when l am there….just hatching more plans…and adding to the “to do”: list.

Paperwork always form part of the big amount of time for the small business owner…there is always lots to do and trying to keep up is not so much fun but necessary, l have spent quite a bit of time on that..

Onto 2025…

what will that bring..

This year l will be celebrating 20 years in business……..

I have lots to celebrate…one being that lm still in business….

And yes l will be celebrating  (more to come on that).

So 9.30 am tomorrow (Thursday 9 January) l will reopen after Xmas for the 20th time.
